The National Elections Authority ((NEA) asserted that the voting process is going on smoothly on the second day of voting for Egyptians abroad in the 2025 Senate election, with no obstacles hindering the electoral process.
The authority said it is in constant contact with various Egyptian diplomatic missions abroad where the electoral process is under way.
Ahmed Bendari, Director of the Executive Office of the National Elections Authority, said in a press conference held inside the central operations room connected via video conference to election centers at Egyptian embassies and consulates abroad, that the authority had not received any complaints from Egyptian ambassadors or consuls abroad who chair the polling stations.
Bendari pointed out that the National Elections Authority received feedback from the Egyptian diplomatic missions abroad indicating that the polling stations open sequentially at the scheduled time of 9 a.m., according to the local time of each country where voting takes place, and the voting process is proceeding smoothly.
The voting process takes only a few minutes without causing any difficulty for the voter, he said, noting that the voting procedures were set by the National Elections Authority.
He added that contacts will be maintained with all embassies and consulates where voting is taking place until the end of the second and final day of the electoral process, and the start of the vote counting and tabulation in preparation for submitting the results to the NEA.
