Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation Rania el Mashat praised the tools developed by ESCWA in the areas of financing, cost analysis, budgeting, and improved debt management.
She emphasized Egypt’s interest in these important tools, particularly in light of the recent launch of the Integrated National Financing Framework (INFF) in Egypt.
Mashat’s remarks came during a meeting with Rola Dashti, Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) Thursday.
The meeting provided a significant opportunity for discussing various areas of cooperation and convened on the sidelines of the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development in Spain with the objective of probing means to strengthen mutual economic relations.
Mashat explained that the meeting reviewed potential areas of cooperation and support between the Ministry of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation and ESCWA.
She affirmed the depth of the relationship between the two sides and the wide range of vital cooperation areas.
She highlighted the ministry’s role and responsibility in managing public investments.
