CAIRO – Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly praised ExxonMobil as a strategic partner in the energy sector during a meeting with company executives on Sunday at the New Administrative Capital.

The talks focused on the status of ExxonMobil’s offshore gas exploration blocks “Cairo” and “Masry” in the Mediterranean and prospects for future cooperation.

Madbouly expressed confidence in the ongoing partnership and pledged government support to accelerate drilling operations. He requested a clear timeline for the start of production, affirming President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s commitment to facilitating natural gas projects.

ExxonMobil Vice President for Global Exploration John Ardill said the company is expediting drilling efforts after completing seismic surveys, aiming to unlock new discoveries in Egypt’s deepwater zones.

Petroleum and Mineral Resources Minister Karim Badawi highlighted ongoing investment opportunities, describing ExxonMobil as one of Egypt’s most important foreign partners in oil and gas exploration.
