General Abdel Meguid Sakr, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defence and Military Production, joined personnel from the Naval Forces and the Northern Military Region for an Iftar banquet held at the Naval Forces Command.
The event was attended by Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief-of-Staff of the Armed Forces, along with commanders of key military branches and several senior officers.
During the gathering, General Sakr conveyed President Abdel Fattah El Sisis greetings and appreciation to the troops, in his capacity as the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. He also extended his congratulations on the occasion of the 10th of Ramadan victories and Martyrs’ and Veterans’ Day.
Minister Sakr reaffirmed the Armed Forces steadfast commitment to safeguarding Egypts security and stability. He highlighted the continuous enhancement of combat and technical capabilities across all military branches, stressing the importance of maintaining peak preparedness to confront potential threats across all strategic directions and axes.
He further commended the dedication and sacrifices of the Armed Forces personnel in defending the nation and protecting its people. The minister of defence also underscored the critical role of combat readiness in securing Egypts borders amid regional challenges, lauding the relentless efforts of the Armed Forces in fulfilling their national responsibilities.
