CAIRO – Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi discussed in a meeting with ExxonMobil’s Vice President of Research and Exploration John Ardill, natural gas discoveries in the western Mediterranean region.
The US energy giant had succeeded in making the first gas discovery in the western Mediterranean by drilling the Nefertari well, with the use of modern drilling techniques and seismic data analysis tools to reach gas reservoirs in this promising concession area.
Ardill said ExxonMobil will continue to provide all modern technologies necessary to explore gas resources in the western Mediterranean region.
