Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli on Saturday inspected a number of development projects in Saint Catherine’s city of South Sinai governorate.
The inspection comes as part of the premier’s follow-up of “The Great Transfiguration” project in St. Catherine city that aims at turning the area into a global destination for tourists all over the world.
The premier was briefed on the implementation progress of a project to set up a mountain hotel as part of the development plan of Saint Catherine City, an area that is a sacred site for the world’s three major monotheistic religions.
Madbouli was accompanied by the ministers of local development, tourism, civil aviation and housing, the governor of South Sinai and a host of respective officials.
Housing Minister Sherief El Sherbiny said the hotel is built over an area of 12,900 square meters with 144 rooms and suits as well as different swimming pools.
