Senior Advisor to Grand Mufti Ibrahim Negm said that Egypt, under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, has global religious leadership and international acceptance.
In an interview with Extra News Channel on Tuesday on the sidelines of the 9th International Fatwa Conference, Negm stressed the importance of the conference saying it represents the largest religious gathering of its kind in the world.
The conference aims at addressing a severe moral crisis as the world is heading towards what is called an identity and moral crisis, he further noted.
Al Azhar Al Sharif issued a statement condemning what took place at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
