More than of 745,000 Thanaweya Amma (final high school year) students in both literature and science divisions started their Arabic exams nationwide.
In Cairo, 103,872 students took Arabic exams in 256 committees, while 87,264 students took the exams in 192 committees in Giza.
The Thanaweya Amma assessments are important as they unlock university opportunities for students based on their grades.
