Egypt’s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli underlined on Thursday the importance of turning many framework agreements on green hydrogen production into contracts, saying Egypt has big potentials that qualify it to be a regional hub for production and export of green hydrogen.
Madbouli said the government has an ambitious plan to enhance the use of renewable energy especially energy generated from green hydrogen in a bid to reduce reliance on traditional fuel and decrease carbon emissions.
Madbouli gave the remarks during a meeting at the New Administrative Capital that was attended by Electricity Minister Mohamed Shaker, Petroleum Minister Tarek Molla, Planning Minister Hala el Saeed and other senior officials.
Madbouli cited the big incentives provided by the state to this promising sector to lure more local and global investments in a way that complies with requirements of sustainable development.
