CAIRO – The National Bank of Egypt’s Al-Ahly Exchange, Banque Misr’s Misr Exchange and Banque du Caire’s Cairo Exchange have managed to attract foreign currency at a total sum of EGP 25.550 billion since March 6.
Abdel Mageed Mohi Eddin, head of Al-Ahly Exchange, told MENA on Friday that there was a big turnout on exchanging foreign and Arab currencies in Egyptian pound, totaling EGP 14.310 billion at Al-Ahly Exchange since March’s decision to enable the EGP to be determined freely against other currencies.
The value of foreign and Arab currencies exchanged at Misr Exchange and Cairo Exchange in Egyptian pound since March hit some EGP 11.240 billion.
