QENA, Upper Egypt – Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has issued directives to provide development services on the new roads to serve citizens.
Commenting on a speech delivered by Transport Minister Kamel el Wazir during the opening of development projects in Upper Egypt, Sisi said an ambulance and two police and service vehicles will be available at a distance of 20 km apart to serve citizens.
Also, signal towers will be set up to cover the new roads with mobile phone services, he noted.
President Sisi said that the State pumped 1.6 trillion pounds in the transport sector in Upper Egypt.
Strenuous efforts are being exerted to upgrade all sectors nationwide with investments worth 6.2 trillion pounds, he noted.
