These initiatives are part of its strategic corporate social responsibility programs, focusing on designing special campaigns to support women coinciding with the successive celebrations of women throughout this month.

These efforts were facilitated through collaboration with Baheya Hospital and Dr. Sherif Omar Foundation for Cancer Treatment.

Orange’s efforts included launching the second phase of “Weqaya” initiative in collaboration with Dr. Sherif Omar Foundation for Cancer Treatment, aiming to reduce the Egyptian Ministry of Health’s backlog for breast cancer surgeries and providing the best healthcare for survivors.

This follows the success of the first phase, which swiftly reduced waiting lists, enabling hundreds of Egyptian mothers to reunite with their families.

Moreover, Orange’s commitment to empowering women extended to the introduction of a novel initiative as part of its long-term collaboration with “Baheya” Hospital.

This initiative introduces a tailored training and rehabilitation program in one of the hospital’s departments aimed at providing cancer survivors with practical skills, like sewing, to support their economic and emotional well-being.

Through facilitating access to resources and support networks, Orange Egypt endeavors to ease the transition for survivors as they progress through the recovery journey, striving for an improved standard of living.

Maha Nagy, Chief Communications Officer at Orange Egypt, emphasized the success of Orange’s women support plan during Ramadan, noting the significant positive impact on numerous Egyptian families, particularly through the rehabilitation of hundreds of women. Nagy expressed her pride in spearheading initiatives aimed at empowering women, which ultimately benefit the entire community.
