Sisi raises flag on world’s tallest flagpole in New Administrative Capital

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi raised the Egyptian flag on the world’s tallest flagpole to mark the inauguration of the first stage of the New Administrative Capital.

The president was accompanied by six children who shared him in raising the flag in the People’s Square.

This coincided with a mini-aircraft show leaving colorful contrails in the sky.

Then, the artillery fired bullets to salute the flag rise.

The president shook hands with Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli, House of Representatives Speaker Hanafi Gebali, Defense Minister Mohamed Zaki, Chief of Staff Osama Askar and a number of Armed Forces top brass.

The president’s motorcade left the People’s Square after finalizing the ceremony of taking oath for a new presidential term.
