CAIRO – Egyptian Minister of Trade and Industry Ahmed Samir said the State is interested in supporting investors in different production sectors in the current phase.

Samir’s remarks came during his meeting on Thursday with a Hayat Egypt delegation led by Şenol Keserlioglu, as they reviewed available investment opportunities in the Egyptian market.

The industry minister welcomed Hayat Egypt’s intention to manufacture its products at home, in co-operation with the Industrial Modernisation Centre (IMC), which in turn contributes to meeting the Egyptian market’s needs and exporting to foreign markets, as well as saving foreign currency.

Samir stated the Turkish company plans to make Egypt as a hub for exporting its products to other branches abroad, underlining the importance of benefiting from manufacturing capabilities in the Egyptian market.

On his part, Şenol Keserlioglu, Hayat Egypt’s general manager, said the company is keen to expand its presence in the Egyptian market.

Keserlioglu added the company has five factories in the country, which is a key export center for the Middle East, Africa, Europe, the Far East and the Americas, noting that the company exported products worth USD 150 million from Egypt to 58 countries.
