US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee strongly condemned acts of violence committed by settlers during the olive harvest season in the West Bank, which left a number of Palestinians injured, along with Heidi Levine, a photographer for The Washington Post.
The US ambassador described the incident as a “despicable terrorist act carried out by masked cowards.”
In a post on the social media platform X, Huckabee called for “a thorough investigation, the arrest and prosecution of everyone involved in this act, and the imposition of the full penalties permitted by law.”
Levine sustained serious injuries during the attack, which took place on Friday in the village of Abu Falah.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces are investigating another attack carried out by Israeli settlers on Saturday against European diplomats in another village in the West Bank.
