Mohamed Abbas Helmy, Minister of Civil Aviation, discussed with Ambassador Abdel Aziz bin Ali Al Sharif, Ambassador of the State of Algeria in Cairo, ways of joint co-operation in the field of civil aviation.
Mohamed Abbas Helmy affirmed his pride in the depth of the historical relations that bind the two brotherly countries and the positive developments they are witnessing on all levels, pointing out that the Ministry of Civil Aviation and its affiliated companies are keen to open new horizons for effective co-operation with all Arab countries in various fields of civil aviation.
The Minister of Aviation also stressed the importance of supporting the Egyptian-Algerian partnership ties in light of the development of bilateral relations between the two sides, pointing out that the Ministry of Civil Aviation is keen to provide all aspects of support in the fields of training and exchange of experiences in various activities of civil aviation.
For his part, the Algerian ambassador expressed his pride and appreciation for this meeting, praising the bilateral and distinguished relations that bring the two countries together in various fields, stressing his country’s interest in further co-operation and partnerships in all activities of civil aviation, especially in light of the development work and development projects that the Egyptian state is witnessing in all its sectors, which contributes to achieving the visions and aspirations that serve the interests of the two brotherly countries.
The meeting discussed a number of topics of common interest in the field of civil aviation, including discussing mechanisms to activate air traffic to push for more tourism and trade movement between Egypt and Algeria and studying the possibility of opening new lines between the two countries.
The meeting was attended from the Algerian side by Counselor Noureddine Hadid, Counselor for Cultural and Commercial Affairs at the Embassy and from the Egyptian side by Amani Metwally, Permanent Undersecretary of the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Pilot Amr El-Sharqawi, Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority and Lamia Sami, Director General of International Relations and Agreements at the Ministry.
