Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received a phone call from Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on Thursday. Mirziyoyev congratulated President Sisi on his re-election and wished him continued success.
The Uzbek President said he looks forward to continue cooperation between the two countries, which has seen significant development in recent years.
President Sisi thanked President Mirziyoyev for the call, and reiterated Egypt’s commitment to expand cooperation with Uzbekistanto cover all areas. He also stressed the importance of continuing consultation and coordination on international issues of mutual interest, in a way that serves the interests of the two peoples.
