Launched under the slogan,’Sharing for Humanity’,the convoy is made of 199 trucks that carry over 2,510 tonnes of medical equipment and supplies, the management of the fund said in a statement.
The convoy, it added, is part of state efforts to deliver humanitarian and relief aid to the people of Gaza.
Executive Director of the fund, Tamer Abdel Fattah, said the convoy also contains huge quantities of food along with other relief aid items needed by the people of Gaza.
“This aid will be delivered in accordance with the procedures followed in this regard,” Abdel Fattah said.
“The entry of the aid is arranged in accordance with the regulations of the Palestinian Red Crescent and the priorities of the people of Gaza,” he added.
