Minister of Civil Aviation Mohamed Manar and head of the Arab Organization for Industrialization Lieutenant-General Abdel Moneim Al-Terras witnessed the signing of a cooperation protocol between EgyptAir represented by EgyptAir for Maintenance and Engineering and the Arab Organization for Industrialization.
The protocol aims to achieve integration between the engines overhaul center at the Arab Organization for Industrialization and EgyptAir Maintenance and Engineering to exchange expertise, localize this modern technology and deepen local manufacturing in accordance with international quality standards.
The cooperation extends to other fields, including renewable energy such as solar power plants and water technologies like wastewater treatment plants, water purification and water desalination with different capacities as well as the devices and equipment required in the field of information technology, electrical appliances, training aid and other products that characterize the Arab Organization for Industrialization in integration with EgyptAir.
The protocol was signed by Director General of the Arab Organization for Industrialization Major General Engineer Abdul Rahman Othman and Chairman of the Board of Directors of EgyptAir Amr Abu Al-Enein.
The signing ceremony was attended by Pilot Montaser Manna, Deputy Minister of Civil Aviation, Basem Abdul Karim, Assistant Minister for International Relations and Media, Engineer Hani Salah El-Din, Chairman of the Board of Directors of EgyptAir for Maintenance and Engineering, and a group of leaders from the Ministry of Civil Aviation and the Arab Organization for Industrialization.
Minister Manar confirmed that the Ministry of Civil Aviation is keen to benefit from the local manufacturing capabilities and appreciates the efficiency and role of the Arab Organization for Industrialization in the production and manufacture of many technical devices and equipment as well as increasing reliance on the Egyptian local product in various fields.
This contributes to achieving the vision of the Egyptian state and its orientations towards relying on the national industry in various sectors, including the civil aviation sector.
The minister pointed out the main and pivotal role played by the Arab Organization for Industrialization in the manufacture and production of many devices in various fields, especially the air transport industry, as well as the introduction of the latest technological means in production processes at the highest levels and with high quality standards.
