The Egyptian Senate will resume its plenary sessions on Sunday and Monday to debate a draft law in addition to any emerging files.
During the session, the Senate is set to discuss a report compiled by a joint committee from the Energy, Environment and Manpower Committee, and the office of the Agriculture and Irrigation committee as well as that of the Education, Scientific Research, Communications and Information Technology committee.
The report tackles a bill submitted by the government on a law regulating access to biological resources, and the equitable sharing of benefits arising from their uses.
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi had issued decrees calling on the House of Representatives and the Senate to commence their second legislative sessions on October 2 and 5, respectively.
