Gov’t interested in digitising all public services

Minister of Planning and Economic Development Hala el-Saeed asserted that the government is very interested in the digitisation of all its services, adding that this will not be achieved without the latest international technologies and building partnerships with major companies operating in the field of technology.

She pointed out to Egypt’s keenness on investing in the human factor and granting youth the best opportunities for training and education in the field of technology.

This came in statements of Minister Saeed during her meeting with Global Vice President of Huawei Hou Tao and his accompanying delegation to discuss means of co-operation on localising technology and improving the efficiency of youth and women via the necessary training.

During the meeting, el-Saeed reviewed the work fields of her ministry including putting and following up the investment plan in addition to the specialized units including the total economy unit, national accounting unit, sustainable development unit and policies of work market unit.

Meanwhile, Hu said that the companies considers Egypt as a main country for their operations in North Africa, adding that Huawei is looking forward to working with the Egyptian Ministry of Planning via co-operation in upgrading Egypt Vision 2030 through sharing stories of success and empowering women in the fields of technological innovation.

The meeting discussed means to boost co-operation between the ministry and Huawei Company and promoting work on the files of localising technology in different fields in addition to increasing the skills of youth and women via training to help them get job opportunities.
