CAIRO – Egypt’s Supply and Internal Trade Minister Ali Moselhi asserted that the state, represented by General Authority For Supply Commodities (GASC), will bear the increase of production bread in municipal bakeries fueled by diesel.
In a press release recently, he added that the citizens will continue to obtain subsidized bread through ration cards at a cost of EGP 0.05 per loaf of bread.
Earlier, Egypt’s Fuel Pricing Committee decided to increase the price of diesel by one pound per liter.
By this increase, the price of diesel in the local market will increase from EGP 7.25 to EGP 8.25.
The committee also decided to keep gasoline price unchangeable at EGP 8.75 for 80-octane petrol, EGP 10.25 for 92-octane petrol and EGP 11.50 for 95-octane petrol.
