NEW YORK – Director of the World Health Organsation (WHO) Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus stressed on Sunday that Gaza hospitals are not battle fields and should be protected in accordance with the international humanitarian law.
He called for ending the Israeli siege on Shifa hospital in Gaza, stressing that the organisation lost contact with hospital teams.
The hospital has become now totally inaccessible, he said, adding that he had to cancel a mission to Gaza over security reasons.
