WASHINGTON – White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre urged Israel and the Palestinian movement of Hamas to participate in Gaza ceasefire talks this week.
She said at a press conference that the negotiators must have a seat at the negotiating table anew.
The ceasefire is the best way to stop tension in the region, she said.
She pointed out it is high time that Hamas releases the hostages, including US citizens and alleviates the burden on Gazans as per the deal proposed now at the negotiating table.
