WASHINGTON – Pentagon Press Secretary Air Force Pat Ryder said the US is not actively involved, nor seek to actively get involved in the Civil War that has been occurring in Syria for years.
Ryder said that US presence in Syria is focused on the defeat of Daesh, Alhurra TV Channel said Wednesday.
the US self-defense actions successfully eliminated imminent threats to US personnel and were not linked to any broader activities in northwest Syria by other groups, he said.
