Iranian state television reported on Sunday that delegations from Iran, Qatar, and the United States were meeting in Switzerland to discuss a ceasefire in Lebanon as well as Iran’s frozen funds.
According to state broadcaster IRIB, “A three-way meeting between Iran, the United States, and Qatar on a comprehensive ceasefire in Lebanon and Iran’s blocked assets is currently underway at the negotiation site.”
Iran added that the escalating conflict in Lebanon between Israel and Hezbollah would be the primary focus of its discussions with the United States. “The Zionist regime continues to breach its commitments in Lebanon, and this issue will be the main point of today’s talks,” foreign ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei said in a video released by the state news agency IRNA.
