WASHINGOTN – US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that the US remains steadfast in its support for Kuwait’s sovereignty and the well-being of its people.

“The enduring partnership between the State of Kuwait and the United States stands as a testament to our shared history and a commitment to peace, security, and prosperity. Our defense cooperation underscores the strength of our partnership, Rubio said in a statement published by the website of the US Department of State to congratulate Kuwait on its National Day.

“On behalf of the United States of America, I extend congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and to the Kuwaiti people on Kuwait’s February 25 National Day and February 26 Liberation Day.

“The United States remains steadfast in its support for Kuwait’s sovereignty and the well-being of its people.

“May the years ahead deepen our economic and defense cooperation and continue to strengthen the longstanding relationship between our two nations.”
