Many children in Sudan are suffering from malnutrition, while more than eight million are out of school, Eva Hinds, spokesperson for UNICEF in Sudan, told AlQahera News.
“Reaching children suffering from malnutrition means saving their lives,” she said, adding that the agency was working to overcome obstacles on the ground and ensure assistance reached those in need.
UNICEF is also seeking to provide alternative education for children living in areas without schools, the spokeswoman said.
She warned that children separated from their families during displacement face psychological distress and increased risks to their safety.
