Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares on Thursday rejected a proposal by US President Donald Trump to resettle Palestinians elsewhere and take over Gaza to create a “Riviera of the Middle East.”
“The land of the people of Gaza is Gaza… and Gaza must be part of the future Palestinian state,” Albares said in an interview with “The Diplomat In Spain” newspaper.
“I want to be very clear on this matter, Gaza is the land of the Palestinians, the people of Gaza, and they must remain there,” José Manuel Albares told reporters yesterday.
“Gaza is part of the future Palestinian state that Spain supports,” he added.
