DUBA – President of COP28 climate change summit Sultan al Jaber expressed on Thursday his appreciation for Egypt’s pioneering role during the presidency of Cop27 summit in Sharm el Sheikh.
He lauded Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry’s accomplishments and commitment to achieve progress in climate change file during his presidency of the COP27 summit.
Jaber made the remarks after taking over the presidency of the summit from Shoukry.
Jaber said, “Let’s rise above our differences to make the difference for future generations. You have the power to do something unprecedented.”
“Let’s unite around the agenda and restore our faith in multilateralism,” the COP28 President further urged at the plenary ceremony.
