Palestinian Ambassador to Egypt and permanent representative to the Arab League Diab al-Louh died on Sunday after a long career in national and diplomatic service.
President Mahmoud Abbas mourned al-Louh, praising his national and diplomatic record and highlighting his dedication to his duties, integrity, humility, tolerance, and commitment to unity and the national interest, as well as his concern for the affairs of the Palestinian people.
The president extended his deepest condolences to al-Louh’s family and relatives; the Palestinian people; members of the Fatah movement and the Palestinian national movement; the staff of the Palestinian Embassy in Egypt; and his colleagues and friends.
He prayed that the deceased would rest in God’s mercy and that his family and loved ones would be granted patience and strength.
Al-Louh had served as the Palestinian ambassador to Egypt and permanent representative to the Arab League since 2017. During his tenure in Cairo, he was one of the Palestinian diplomatic mission’s most prominent figures in Egypt.
