RIYADH – The General Secretariat of the Organisation of Islamic Co-operation (OIC) has condemned the Israeli occupation’s attacks on the Greek Orthodox Church building in the Gaza Strip, which led to a number of civilian casualties, including women and children.
In a statement, quoted by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the organisation renewed call on the international community to urgently intervene in order to stop the brutal Israeli military aggression against the Palestinian people.
OIC also warned of the ongoing humanitarian catastrophe as a result of policies of collective punishment, and the Israeli siege imposed on the civilian population in the Gaza Strip.
No food, no water and no medicine, no electricity, no fuel, and other basic needs are allowed into Gaza, which constitute a war crime and a crime against humanity under the international law, the OIC concluded.
