A vibrant flag-hoisting ceremony at the Embassy of Pakistan in Cairo marked the 85th National Day of Pakistan, bringing together embassy personnel and the Pakistani diaspora.
Charge d’ Affaires, Dr Raza Shahid, presided over the event, which commenced with the National Anthem and prayers for the nation’s peace and prosperity.
The ceremony included the reading of messages from Pakistan’s President, Prime Minister, and Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister, underscoring the day’s significance.
Prior to the event, the Embassy received a congratulatory message from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, delivered by the Chamberlain of the Presidency, symbolizing the enduring friendship between Pakistan and Egypt.
