Lebanese President Joseph Aoun on Sunday condemned renewed Israeli attacks on Nabatieh in southern Lebanon, saying strikes on state institutions violated the framework agreement.
“Targeting the Finance Ministry building reveals a persistent pattern of attacks on civilian institutions,” Aoun said, holding Israel “fully responsible for the continuing escalation” in the country.
He called on the United States and the international community to act urgently to halt what he described as Israeli violations.
Aoun said Lebanon would remain committed to safeguarding its sovereignty, stability in the south and the safety of its citizens.
