King Abdullah II of Jordan affirmed on Monday that the perpetrators of the terrorist attack targeting the Hamud Church in the Karak Governorate will not escape punishment, praising the efforts of the security services that managed to arrest the three attackers following a security operation that resulted in all of them being injured.
In a post on his official account on the social media platform “X”, commenting on the success of the security operation, the Jordanian king stated: “Here are the Nashama (valiant men of Jordan) who have pursued them all the way into their dens.”
King Abdullah II reiterated that terrorists will not go unpunished, nor will anyone carrying an ideology aimed at dividing the Jordanian people, emphasising the complete rejection of any attempts to incite discord or undermine national unity.
The Jordanian king concluded his post by praying for mercy upon the martyrs of the terrorist attack, a speedy recovery for the injured, and that God protect Jordan and its people from all evil and harm.
Earlier today at dawn, the Jordanian Public Security Directorate announced the arrest of the three attackers following an armed clash at an abandoned house in Karak Governorate, with no injuries reported among the security forces.
