Iranian emergency authorities have released a video advising the public on how to survive a nuclear explosion, state news agency IRNA reported, amid speculation about a possible US strike on an Iranian nuclear site.
The eight-minute guide, issued by emergency services in Isfahan province, tells people to seek shelter in basements, stay away from windows and switch off air conditioning systems that draw in outside air.
It also offers advice for people caught outdoors, including avoiding looking directly at the flash of an explosion and taking precautions against radioactive dust.
The video includes dramatised scenes of a nuclear blast near a residential area. Isfahan province is home to the Natanz nuclear facility.
Its release comes amid speculation about a possible US strike on a deeply buried nuclear-related site near Natanz. US media personality Tucker Carlson has warned that President Donald Trump’s administration could launch a nuclear attack on the site, citing alleged Israeli pressure.
Trump has previously ruled out using nuclear weapons against Iran and has spoken of the possibility of reaching an agreement with Tehran.
