Gaza Board of Peace says all parties committed to Trump plan 11 - Egyptian Gazette

All parties have reaffirmed their commitment to US President Donald Trump’s comprehensive peace plan for Gaza, the Gaza Board of Peace (BoP) said in a statement on Friday.

The roadmap aims to end the destruction in the territory, ensure a full Israeli withdrawal, empower a Palestinian administration and support reconstruction, security, recovery and economic development, the BoP said.

Israel will complete without delay its remaining obligations under the Sharm el-Sheikh Protocol, while Hamas and other Palestinian factions will halt all military operations in line with the protocol and the peace plan, it added, according to Al-Qahera News.

A timetable and mechanisms for implementing the roadmap will be prepared within 14 days of approval by all parties. A national committee will then enter Gaza and assume its responsibilities, the statement said.

An international verification committee will assess both sides’ compliance with the roadmap before the process moves to its second phase. Progress between phases will depend on verification that all previous commitments have been fulfilled.

Hamas and other Palestinian factions have agreed to transfer all civil and security administrative responsibilities to the national committee, which will operate independently during the transitional period, the BoP said.

The committee will maintain public institutions and services, conduct a comprehensive review of financial and administrative affairs with international support, and assess outstanding obligations to suppliers and contractors of up to $400 million.

The measures will be implemented gradually over three years, according to the committee’s priorities, the statement said.

In another development, Hamas said it had dealt “responsibly and positively” with negotiations and mediators’ proposals aimed at completing the second phase of the ceasefire agreement.

The group said Palestinian factions had reached a national consensus reflecting “a spirit of partnership and responsibility,” adding that Israel’s commitment to end killings and halt its attacks was “the essential entry point and first step” for moving ahead with implementation.
