GAZA – Gaza Municipality spokesman Hosni Mhanna has called for providing the city with fuel urgently, noting that its shortage is threatening civilians who survived the Israeli bombing in the enclave with a “thirst crisis” and diseases resulting from drinking contaminated water.
In statements to Sky News Arabia channel on Monday, Mhanna said the Gaza Municipality reached the “zero level” since it has not received any fuel supplies since the beginning of November; even during the 7-day truce between Israel and Hamas.
The official called for delivering sufficient quantities of fuel, food and relief aid to the Gaza Strip in order to resume water and electricity supplies, especially with the approach of winter.
