CAIRO – Assistant Egyptian Foreign Minister for African Organizations Affairs Ambassador Soha el Guindy participated, as representative of the president, in the urgent meeting of the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) held in Sierra Leone.
In a post on its official Facebook page, Egypt’s Foreign Ministry said that the meeting discussed Kenya’s report as well as launching a review initiative for unconstitutional change of governments.
During the meeting, they also approved the election of former deputy foreign minister ambassador Ali el Hefni in the high-level committee as representative of North Africa region.
This comes within Egypt’s keenness on actively engaging in African programs and events especially that Egypt is one of the founders of the APRM, the statement further said.
