KAZAN – A commemorative photo has been taken for the leaders of BRICS group in Kazan, Russia, with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Middle beside Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

Xi Jinping, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nuhayyan, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, appeared in the photo.
The BRICS 16th Summit kicked off on Wednesday in Russia’s city of Kazan, with the participation of President Sisi.
The 16th BRICS Summit, which is the key event of Russia’s chairmanship in the association, is being held in Kazan on October 22-24. The BRICS group was founded in 2006 by Brazil, Russia, India, and China, with South Africa joining it in 2011. On January 1, 2024, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, became its full-fledged members.
