JEDDAH, Saudi Arabia- Arab leaders attending the 32nd edition of the Arab summit are expected to appreciate Egypt’s historical and continued support for the Palestinian cause and its sponsorship of reconciliation talks among the Palestinian factions upon an Arab mandate from the Arab League Council, MENA learnt.
The Arab leaders, in line with the draft resolutions issued by the Arab foreign ministers, are also expected to welcome strenuous efforts exerted by Egypt and Jordan to bring back the Palestinian cause to the top priorities of the international community.
The Arab leaders will reiterate commitment to maintaining Syria’s sovereignty and the integrity of its territories to end the suffering of the Syrian people.
The draft resolutions, referred to the summit, tackle the Palestinian cause, the Syrian crisis, the conditions in Lebanon and the Iranian file, as well as cyber security, economic and social issues.
The Arab leaders will condemn Israel’s crimes against the Palestinian people including recent acts of aggression in Al Quds (East Jerusalem), Gaza, Jericho, Jenin and Nablus.
They will call on Lebanon’s authorities to continue efforts of electing a president and form a new government as soon as possible.
The Arab leaders will reaffirm solidarity with Sudan to maintain its sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity, and will reject any foreign interference in Sudan’s domestic affairs.
They will express support for talks held between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces, in Jeddah, under the auspices of Saudi Arabia and the United States.
The Arab leaders will welcome the Beijing agreement between Saudi Arabia and Iran to restore diplomatic relations between them.
They will call for halting Turkish incursions into Iraq’s territories and will demand Ankara to withdraw its troops from all Iraqi soil.
The Arab leaders will condemn all terrorist attacks launched by terrorist groups in world countries and will urge the Arab countries that have not ratified the Arab pact on combatting terrorism to ratify it.
