The Arab League has stressed the importance of preparing radio and TV programmes covering terrorist incidents transparently in the aftermath of fake news sweeping digital and satellite media to protect the security of citizens and national security of countries.
This came in a speech by Ahmed Rashid Khatabi, Arab League assistant Secretary General for media and communication sector in a workshop on the importance of preparing programmes dealing with national security.
The workshop was organised in co-operation between the pan-Arab organisation and Naif Arab University for Security Sciences.
