Secretary General of the Arab League Ahmed Abul Gheit has underlined the need to reach a final and fair solution for the Palestinian cause that guarantees the Palestinians’ right to establish their state.
The settlement of the Palestinian cause will undoubtedly contribute to enhancing global dialogue and serving coexistence issues, he reiterated on Thursday.
Abul Gheit’s remarks came during his meeting with Miguel Moratinos, High Representative for the United Nations Alliance of Civilisations (UNAOC), on the sidelines of their participation in the 77th session of the UN General Assembly, according to a statement issued by the pan-Arab body.
They reviewed the latest international developments and efforts on supporting dialogue between civilisations and facing hatred and all forms of exclusion and discrimination.
Abul Gheit has reaffirmed the Arab League’s firm stance on respecting sacred places and creeds and keenness to spread tolerance and coexistence values.
