CAIRO – Secretary General of the Arab League (AL) Ahmed Abul Gheit underscored the importance of addressing the root causes of migration and refugee outflows in the region.
Abul Gheit was addressing the Second Regional Review Conference on Migration and the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration in the Arab region in the headquarters of the AL’s General Secretariat on Wednesday.
Abul Gheit also underlined the significance of linking between migration and development to boost cooperation among active bodies in the humanitarian and developmental fields.
