talabat announced the launch of talabat mart in Egypt. talabat mart is the company’s Quick Commerce (q-commerce) concept, delivering groceries to customers within 30 minutes, 24 hours a day.
The dark stores concept (also known as virtual or delivery-only stores) will deliver groceries to customers’ doorstep in less than 30 minutes, talabat claimed in a press conference.
“We have expanded into grocery deliveries recently using a marketplace model. But with the launch of dark stores, which is the first of its kind in the region, talabat is betting big on grocery delivery. We aim at making the life of the Egyptian consumer easier by providing services, that is not available in the market which is the consistency of the delivery time, a wider variety and a seamless ordering experience.” stated Hadeer Shalaby, Talabat Egypt’s Managing Director.
talabat already launched over 20 dark stores all over Greater Cairo. talabat mart dark stores are powered by cutting-edge technology, designed to enable order preparation efficiently by the talabat’s in-store team. Each store is also strategically located across the city to guarantee the best delivery radius is achieved in order to deliver in under 30 minutes. The range of products features sold through talabat mart include grocery, detergents, fresh food, butchery and ready meals products and more – offered at affordable price points, and with unbeatable convenience.
