For the second year in a row, Shofha, a video-on-demand mobile application and website platform of ArpuPlus, the specialised mobile communications company in the Middle East, co-organised a large concert at El Gouna Film Festival in co-operation with Keen Eye and The Glocal, and the event organiser, The Badger. The concert, which was held on the second day of the festival, was attended by more than 400 people, including a number of famous artists and local celebrities with Disco Misr providing the music.

‏This is the second time that Shofha platform participated in organising this event with the aim of gathering prominent artists and local stars to celebrate and engage with the public. Famous artists and stars who graced the gathering include Ahmed El Sakka, Yousra, Hend Sabri, Mona Zaki, Ahmed Hatem, Munther Rihanna, Mohamed Farraj, Aser Yassin, Ahmed Daoud, Laila Elwi, Akram Hosni, Hadi El Bagoury, Hana Shiha, and Engy Kiwan.

‏Expressing his satisfaction, Medhat Karam, Chief Executive Officer of ArpuPlus shared that the participation of Shofha platform in this major event enhances its presence in the entertainment industry as a leading provider and platform for video-on-demand subscription services. Karam proudly mentioned that Shofha platform has more than 1.5 million subscribers, currently available in 13 countries and works with more than 30 mobile phone service companies.

Karam said that ArpuPlus regularly updates the content of the Shofha platform to ensure that it can keep pace with current trends while categorizing and organizing contents for seamless browsing and personalized experience. He also added that the company is working relentlessly on developing and enhancing the platform for an uninterrupted, faster, and more customized streaming experience for both its mobile and website users. Shofha’s user-friendly interface and features continue to attract viewers as noted in the growing number of user interaction and viewership.

Shofha platform is keen to provide users across the MENA region with exemplary viewing experience by offering a wide range of Arabic films, TV shows, animated films, cooking and travel videos, as well as educational videos. Further, a short film category is also available to cater to various viewing preferences.

As part of its efforts to add more valuable content, the platform also plans to produce two programs presented by celebrities and social media influencers as well as a series, new movie, and a short film that can compete in local and international festivals.

Shofha platform, which was launched in 2016, provides users with a unique movie streaming experience. Its library, which is currently available in 13 countries in the Middle East and North Africa region, contains films, Arabic series, prominent Arabic plays, and other entertainment content.

ArpuPlus aims to make a difference in the MENA region and enhance people’s lives through technologies and platforms that convey news, provide easier ways to order food, seamless payment, online ticket booking, interact with government offices, receive calls, as well as interact with their favorite artists and celebrities.
