Nutanix, Inc., a leader in hybrid multicloud computing and Raya Data Center, the leading data center service provider in Egypt, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to serve the Public and Enterprise sectors in the country with cloud solutions and capabilities. The signing was done at the recent GITEX GLOBAL 2023 in Dubai.

Raya Data Center has been established since 2012 to be the leading Data Center Service provider in the Egyptian market with a large portfolio of outsourcing services including co-location, cloud computing, electromechanical, data center security and managed services. Since its inception, Raya Data Center has enjoyed the trust of local and international clients from multiple sectors like banking, insurance, manufacturing, government, healthcare, education and oil & gas.

With a data center facility that features highest standards of disaster recovery and secure network environment, Raya Data Center is committed to highest levels of compliance with international standards and quality management certifications.

Raya Data Center is considered as the first authorized PCI DSS for Cloud and Co-Location Service Provider along with multiple ISO certifications like business continuity, information security management, service management, GDPR and local governmental authorizations.

Speaking about the partnership, Mogib Abdelrazek, Egypt Country Director at Nutanix said, “The adoption of cloud technologies is seen as priority by a majority of public and private organizations in Egypt, in line with the Government’s vision outlined in Egypt’s ICT 2030 Strategy and Digital Egypt.

As a global leader in cloud software and a pioneer in hyperconverged infrastructure solutions, Nutanix is keen to play an important role in the country’s digital transformation through our technology solutions that make clouds ‘invisible’, freeing customers to focus on their business outcomes.

As we build our team and footprint in Egypt, our intention is to collaborate with market leading vendors and partners to offer the market best-of-breed solutions. Joining hands with Raya Data Center is an expression of this intent and we believe that this partnership will help propel the country’s digitization efforts forward.”

With the signing of the MoU, Raya Data Center has joined Nutanix Elevate Program. Raya will build part of its public cloud offering on Nutanix Cloud Platform and will work with Nutanix to promote cloud hosting services, in addition to actively promoting Nutanix technology to existing and potential customers. In turn, Nutanix will assist Raya in developing its staff to be able to effectively identify, qualify, configure and propose Nutanix cloud solutions. The vendor will make available, in a timely and planned manner, commercially skilled resources to assist Raya in the execution of Nutanix opportunities.

“As Egypt-based company, Raya Data Center takes great pride in supporting the digital transformation ambitions of the Government and we always look to provide the latest cutting-edge services and products to organizations in the country.

Nutanix’s rich heritage and history of innovation, combined with the company’s promise of simplifying cloud complexity with an open, software-defined hybrid multicloud platform, is a proposition that Egyptian companies will no doubt find very attractive. This partnership strengthens our solution portfolio and will help us maintain our position as the premier data center provider in the market,” concluded Nashat Fouda, Managing Director, Raya Data Center.
