The National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA) granted B.T Telecom-Egypt a license to provide linking and data transmission services to the global networks of various organisations and corporations. B.T Telecom-Egypt, by virtue of such a license, is allowed to provide linking and data transmission services in accordance with the highest standards applicable, between the organisations working in Egypt and their branches abroad; such as, banks and other global as well as Egyptian corporations having branches abroad.

Furthermore, the License granted enables direct contracting and billing with B.T without any need to sign contracts and make the necessary payments abroad, providing huge flexibility to customers. This would also facilitate the procedures of service-avail for customers within Egypt’s borders and would also attract foreign investments to Egypt’s market. It is worth noting that B.T- Egypt, subordinate to B.T British Group, is one of the largest telecom corporations worldwide.

Eng. Hossam El-Gamal, the Executive President of NTRA, declared that B.T Telecom-Egypt applying to get the License, is a clear evidence on the capabilities of Egypt’s telecom market as a point of attraction to foreign investments as well as the seamless growth and development witnessed by the market.

The License was signed by Eng. Hossam El-Gamal, the Executive President of NTRA and Eng. Khaled Mohammed Abu Salama, the Director of B.T Telecom-Egypt.
