Geidea has acquired the ” payment facilitator” license from the Central Bank of Egypt in co-operation with the National Bank of Egypt “NBE”. In preparation for launching its services and spreading thousands of POS in Egypt to accept all types of card and QR payments.
Under this co-operation and after the entitlement of the “payment facilitator” license, Geidea will provide its partners an integrated payments acceptance service to support the National Bank of Egypt partners from merchants and small & medium enterprises. This service aims to increase the number of electronic terminals in various locations around the Arab Republic of Egypt according to the direction of the Egyptian government to achieve the digital transformation and financial inclusion plans.
