This announcement was made during the Cairo International Technology Exhibition (Cairo ICT), the 27th edition organized by “Trade Fairs International,” taking place at the Egypt International Exhibition Center from November 19 to 22 under the theme “For a Better World.” The event gathered key players from the local and regional Information Technology sectors, both public and private.

Abdel Rasoul highlighted, “We witnessed significant growth levels in the sectors that Raya for Information Technology contributes to compared to the previous year, with a total annual growth of 85.8% by September 2023. The annual sales for Raya for Information Technology reached approximately 4.088 billion Egyptian pounds by September 2023. The telecommunications sector, in which Raya has been investing for over a decade, experienced exceptional annual growth of 467% compared to the same period last year. Our market share in the ATM solutions field exceeded 54%, and we achieved a 44% annual growth in solutions tailored for the oil and gas sector.”

Discussing regional contracts, Abdel Rasoul mentioned, “We value our productive collaboration with major governmental and private entities in the region to enhance digital transformation efforts. We aim for further expansion in serving regional markets. Raya is proud to undertake significant projects in various parts of the region, including Kuwait and Jordan.”

He continued, “Our cloud services capabilities in the region expanded with the launch of a new cloud hub in Saudi Arabia, responding to the growing market needs and leveraging the accumulated experience from managing our current cloud center in Egypt. This is a step towards further expansion in establishing more cloud centers in the Gulf.”

Regarding new partnerships, Abdel Rasoul stated, “Raya for Information Technology strengthened its business portfolio with additional partnerships with several influential entities in the global information technology market. In 2023, Nutanix joined our list of technical partners, and we established a strategic partnership with Software AG, one of the major players in global information technology.”

Addressing internal development efforts, Abdel Rasoul mentioned, “Raya has made significant progress in enhancing its operational capabilities, supporting our future business. We inaugurated the third phase of Raya’s data center expansion with state-of-the-art electromechanical technologies, established a new unit for software development, and introduced a new center for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) support. Additionally, we successfully launched and operated our third data center in October City. We obtained the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority’s license for certified data centers and cloud service providers. We also acquired and renewed various international certifications, including PCI, ISO 20000-1, ISO 27001, and FRA. We added a new cloud stack technology stack based on container technologies and open graph structures to our technology infrastructure.”

Abdel Rasoul concluded, “The year 2023 was marked by global and regional awards for Raya for Information Technology, reflecting our efforts and the trust of our global and regional partners. Recently, we received the ‘Best Partner of the Year’ award at the Cisco Partner Summit in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.  Earlier in the year, we received awards such as Diebold Nixdorf Best performing Partner in the Middle East 2023, Riverbed partner of the year 2023, Oracle middle market award (Top winning partner for winning the highest number of registered opportunities across EMEA) and “Above & Beyond” award for its extraordinary performance in the HCM domain.
